There have been many instances where I’ve seen (or was personally sent) photos of people’s spellwork, asking for interpretations of what they see. Black soot is a result of oils and dyes being exposed to high heat for an extended period of time. The quality of the wax does matter when it comes to how a candle typically burns. Not all plates are built to withstand direct exposure to fire for extended periods of time. It may cause them to crack or shatter.

I was told! time and time again, for the last year, that outpatient surgery was covered, after my deductible, fully by my insurance, top surgery! is an outpatient surgery! I even got the letter of readiness from a therapist, and ultrasound proof that I have painful breast tumors, full ride right? totally covered right?
WRONG
totally last minute I recieve this letter most importantly stating :
Putting my nips back on is too “cosmetic” to be covered !
how much do they want for my nips? about 3,500$ , and separately they want 575$ deductible for the surgery meaning
I need at least $4,000
It’s the wealthy ceo (lets have c in CEO state for cis shall we) plan to not have to pay for a surgery at all, I mean 4k would deter any poor trans person from getting a life saving surgery, I mean I don’t go to the ER for dislocations over the just 100$ fee, 4k ? I’m fucked.
I have less than two months to get the money to pay this. I need this by March. So please spread the word

So reading Mojo Workin has kinda changed my opinion on how Hoodoo started. The explanation that it was a way for our ancestors to protect themselves and fight against slavery is still true. But I don’t feel like that’s canon.
I feel like it was a continuation of our ancestors sticking to their habits/rituals/ already established spiritual practices. It was a way for them to feel at home in a new land. Our power was always done in the name of protecting and uplifting ourselves and our families. And with that naturally white people would become an enemy we would have to protect against.
The definite downfall of ATR’s amongst slaves was that families got separated whenever whomever felt like doing it. But an advantage was that the population consisted of Africans of different religions and practices. They connected and made relationships because of the similarities. And that’s how we got Hoodoo.
I feel like it would’ve always been something, either ATR’s or what we got. Native Americans helped a ton because they educated our ancestors on the plants and herbs of America, but European influence didn’t come until Hoodoo was already established amongst the slave communities. It didn’t come until slave owners were forcing slaves to worship their God. There was no European influence up until white slave owners decided to continue trying to colonize the african people in mind, body and spirit. And instead of fully assimilating to Christianity, we used it to hide our beliefs. With our disconnect from the Orisha’s, God became a substitute.
White people started to make laws that demonized our practices. They started using our power and knowledge as another way to kill us. And that’s how we moved further into secrecy, further away from our power and closer to their God.
White people influneced hoodoo in the most fucked up way. Going from seeking and using its benefits to condemning us for it after saving their asses.
Just imagine what our spiritual life would be like if white people didn’t keep their boots on our backs.

I first want to say my heart is filled with warmth for those who have written me lovely messages and donated to my health complication. It really does mean everything to me. I was originally diagnosed with something called Henoch. After seeing more doctors and getting more blood work done when it was becoming worse and worse. I traveled 3 hours to see a specific doctor whom diagnosed me with dariers disease as well. There are a lot of different medical options like laser surgery, they are all very dangerous. I am not sure what I exactly want to do right now so I have been seeking naturopaths and holistic healings at the moment in California. This whole thing is very painful.

What the $ goes towards:
The $ goes towards my bills, as you can see one of the many I have added to this post. I have about $3,500 due. My gofundme money is set aside for following up with surgerical procedure If all else fails as well as paying off bills. I have medi-cal which doesn’t take care of much for the type of doctors I would see for something this rare/intense. The money goes towards eating, living, transportation including to therapy, natural medicine/ topicals that have been helping such as Dragon blood oil, tea tree oil, Emu oil, Dr. Sebi cream $25 for 2oz (8oz last me a month), Dr Morse supplements, Argan oil,etc., and taking care of myself overall.
Work issues:
I was fired for telling a guy I had sex with in the past for saying “fuck off” when he had been harassing me and emotionally manipulating/abusing me at work and have had a hard time finding work after. I know someone had commented on the photos on my blog that I should get medical disability for working. Unfortunately this is not something you can be qualified to not work with. But that doesn’t stop bosses and companies to discriminate you for it and not hire you because of the look of it. I have gone to several interviews that I am qualified for based on experience.
